Information We Collect

You can read everything on Extra Extra without creating an account or giving us any personal information. We do not ask for your name, and we do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves.

• Settings stored in your browser. We use your browser's local storage to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme, which features you've enabled, and articles you've already opened. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us.
• Email address (only if you subscribe). If you sign up for our newsletter, The Daily Spectrum, we store your email address solely to send you that newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• Aggregate, anonymous usage data. We measure overall traffic (such as page views and load times) to keep the site fast and reliable. This is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you.

Cookies and Local Storage

A cookie is a small file a site can store in your browser. Extra Extra's own functionality relies on local storage rather than tracking cookies. We use privacy-focused analytics provided by our hosting platform, Vercel (Web Analytics and Speed Insights), to understand aggregate traffic patterns and monitor performance. These tools are designed not to use third-party cookies or to track individuals across sites, and we do not receive personally identifying information through them.

The Newsletter

If you subscribe to The Daily Spectrum, your email address is processed by our email provider, Resend, to deliver the newsletter. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers or other third parties. Every issue includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and we delete your address from the mailing list when you unsubscribe.

Links to Other Sites

Extra Extra is a news aggregator: nearly every headline links out to the original article on a third party's website. We do not control those sites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through our links.

Children's Privacy

Extra Extra is intended for a general, adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your Choices

• Manage or block cookies through your browser settings.
• Opt out of personalized ads via Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info.
• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email.
• Clear your saved preferences by clearing this site's local storage in your browser.
